In early July of this year, a shipment of amber glass bottles was loaded into a container at our Xuzhou factory. After a 40-day sea voyage, the container was unloaded in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. Upon inspection at the warehouse, not a single bottle was found broken; our packaging was meticulously designed to prevent collisions and damage during the long-haul transport.

This batch of bottles was destined for a local essential oil studio in Quito. The owner, Marcela, had built a local reputation for her aromatherapy products, but packaging had always been a headache: local glass bottles were expensive and limited in style, and the dropper caps sealed poorly, causing a significant amount of essential oil to evaporate after just two months.
She had tried contacting large Chinese manufacturers, but they quoted minimum order quantities (MOQs) of 30,000 units. “That’s enough stock for five years of sales. I wondered if anyone would be willing to produce fewer than 10,000 bottles without compromising on quality,” Marcela said.
She discovered GLT’s glass bottles in a Facebook essential oil group. With a “let’s give it a try” attitude, she sent us photos of her studio along with her requirements. We replied to her email the same day we received her inquiry and provided two bottle options by the next day: 30ml and 50ml amber bottles with aluminum dropper caps. The amber glass blocks UV rays, preventing the breakdown of active ingredients in the essential oils, while the aluminum caps—featuring food-grade liners—offer far superior sealing compared to standard plastic inserts.
It was the samples that truly convinced her to buy our products. Once she deemed the proposal viable, we immediately selected samples meeting her specifications and shipped them to her address. Upon arrival, the bottles were intact and undamaged. She immediately conducted sealing, cold-temperature, and heat-resistance tests, and the quality of our bottles won her approval.

She placed an initial order for 6,000 units right away, and the time from order placement to shipment was just 30 days. Now filled with essential oils, some of these bottles are sold at markets and spas in Quito, while others have traveled with her small team to trade shows in Colombia and Peru. “They are finally worthy of my essential oils,” Marcela said. Shipping glass bottles overseas is nothing new, yet few factories are willing to handle small orders or support clients through the sampling and testing process. GLT’s export team never viewed Marcela as merely a “small client”—to them, a customer ordering 6,000 units is just as important as one ordering 30,000.
This transoceanic journey involved far more than just 6,000 bottles. From the moment the first email arrived, we provided solutions and samples, guiding the client every step of the way to final approval. During production, we shared photos of every stage, ensuring transparent and trackable timelines. Upon delivery to Quito, random inspections revealed zero breakage; the client’s remark that “the quality is even better than the samples” served as the ultimate seal of approval.
