At the end of August, a French food industry customer visited Xuzhou to inspect our glass bottle production base. This customer mainly deals in honey and olive oil products, and this visit aimed to confirm packaging solutions in preparation for a subsequent large-scale purchase.

In the sample display area, the customer focused on two types of products.

For honey bottles, the customer selected 200ml and 380ml sizes, planning to initially purchase 1,000 of each. They requested that the smaller bottles have gold foil stamping on the front and a label on the back; the larger bottles have gold foil stamping on both sides. They also specifically requested the use of transparent acrylic screw caps with transparent sealing rings to ensure that consumers can directly see the contents after opening the bottle. “Large bottles are the focus on the shelf, so the packaging cannot be careless,” the customer said while comparing sample bottles on-site.

For olive oil bottles, the customer selected 250ml and 500ml caps, with two styles each of green and brown, for a total of four styles. Unlike honey jars, these olive oil bottles require an overall frosted finish to meet the need for light-proof storage and improve grip. The hot stamping process is the same as for the honey jars: small bottles have gold stamping on the front and a label on the back; large bottles have gold stamping on both sides.

Regarding material selection, the client inquired in detail about the difference between high-clarity glass and ordinary white glass. We provided two sets of sample bottles for comparison; high-clarity glass has significant advantages in light transmission and purity. The client ultimately decided to use high-clarity glass for the honey jars, while ordinary white glass will suffice for the dark-colored olive oil bottles. All products use food-grade materials, a fact repeatedly confirmed by the client.

This visit marked the first in-person meeting between the two parties following their online communication. The client indicated that Xuzhou, as a core production area for food-grade glass packaging in China, offers unexpected advantages in terms of both price and delivery time.
